Project Objectives

The aim of this project is to promote talent development by raising educational standards across the game industry and building a framework which allows effective and efficient securing of talents in the game industry. To build such a framework, the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association will collaborate with educational institutions to design and verify a curriculum for the acquisition of skills necessary for game creators, and prepare to launch a new certification program that will serve as a guideline based on the skill set formulated through the project.

Project Approach

In this project, the skills needed for game development talent will be studied and published, and preparatory work will be conducted for the launch of a new certification program based on that skill set (provisionally titled “Game Creator Skills Certification”). The project will also organize visits for students at partnering educational institutions to the international conference “CEDEC” and the game event “Tokyo Game Show” to further drive their interests toward the game industry.
