Official Social Media

Project Objectives

YCAM, the in-house R&D team YCAM InterLab works with artists to produce projects applying current technologies. YCAM also shares the outcomes of these efforts by offering lecture programs and workshops for local residents and schools.
Building on its collaborative creation model, YCAM will produce a piece for children featuring choreographer and director Pijin Neji and sci-fi author Sayo Onoda. The work is aiming to tour both domestically and internationally, providing a platform to nurture future globally active creators. YCAM staff will also gain new skills by participating as internal creators in this original international touring production.

Project Approach

Since its founding in 2003, YCAM has explored the possibilities of media technologies in the performing arts through community-based creation and presentation. This project seeks to further its role as a global hub by creating a piece for children in collaboration with internationally active dancer Pijin Neji,a sci-fi writer Sayo Onoda, young creators, and engineers. The aim is to foster future generations' creative engagement with technologies such as AI through art.
