Project Objectives

Over the course of three years, this project will support emerging creators in collaborating with artists and cultural organizations across India, Brazil, Poland, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and beyond. In its third year, participants will take part in an international residency and stage a full production in India.
In addition to performance-based activities, the project will offer seminars and dialogue sessions designed to enhance participants’ creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Through these experiences, the initiative seeks to nurture artists who are deeply aware of their own cultural and historical contexts, while also expanding their perspectives. The ultimate goal is to equip them with the confidence, skills, and resolve to actively engage with peers and professionals on the global stage.

Project Approach

By FY2026, participants will engage in international co-productions with organizations and creators from six countries and undertake residencies in India. Through research, seminars, and talks abroad, they will deepen their understanding of Japan’s culture and global diversity, developing pride, skills, and a strong will to thrive as creators on the world stage who lead the next generation.
