Official Social Media

Project Objectives

The project will establish a new talent development model for the Japanese popular music industry suited to the global digital era. By sharing success stories and challenges at industry level, the project will help enhance talent development and industry infrastructure, as well as increase international competitiveness through an all-Japan initiative. Then the resulting development program will be shared with universities and colleges, etc.

Project Approach

The project will build and implement a development program that will increase the global market influence and economic impact of producers, lyricists and songwriters, and music artists who shoulder the next-generation of popular music. With the goal of performing at events with an attendance of 100,000 and charting on major streaming platforms within three years, talent development will be implemented through a PDCA cycle involving mentorship by domestic and international experts, overseas OJT and networking opportunities in Los Angeles, Bangkok, and London, and showcase performances.

Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA)

CEIPA, established by five major Japanese music industry organizations — the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the Japan Association of Music Enterprises, the Federation of Music Producers Japan, the Music Publishers Association of Japan, and the All Japan Concert and Live Entertainment Promoters — organizes the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN.
