Project Objectives

This hands-on program in Japan and abroad will develop rights management professionals who have knowledge and experience of areas such as licensing negotiations, translation and localization, and local promotion, and are capable of leading contract negotiations themselves in the global manga market, with a particular focus on North America. The goal is to build the operational framework and know-how needed to achieve simultaneous publication and distribution in Japan and the United States during the initial three-year period, before full implementation from the fourth year onward.

Project Approach

To enable the systematic acquisition of skills required in international business environments, such as contracts, negotiation, and market understanding, this project will establish and implement a step-by-step training curriculum incorporating lectures, practical exercises, on-site training, and hands-on business negotiation practice in Japan and abroad. In the dispatch program, this project will provide opportunities to attend international business matchmaking events and acquire practical negotiation skills.
*Part of this project will be undertaken together with the CORE (Creative Overseas Resources for Editors) Project implemented by Coamix Inc.
