Project Objectives

To train creators who can succeed in the international market, VIPO aims to develop and implement an international program in collaboration with other educational institutions within and outside Japan, and encourage its students to develop global perspectives and networks. Furthermore, VIPO aspires to build curricula that reflect the needs of film-related educational institutions and the industry, discover outstanding talents, foster advanced growth, and globally share its achievements.

Project Approach

VIPO will work with other educational institutions within and outside Japan to develop and implement practical programs which will help nurture creators capable of thriving in an international society. Students’ current environment as well as the needs of film-related educational institutions and the industry will be analyzed and reflected in the program. Development of an advanced course for especially outstanding students is also planned. In addition, a graduation project screening will be held for the presentation of project achievements. Activities may also include screening of foreign films and overseas distribution of domestic films.
