New Way, New World: Program for Connecting Japanese Animators to the World

Computer Graphic Arts Society(CG-ARTS)

Official Social Media

Project Objectives

This program offers training and networking opportunities to short-form animation artists, aiming to equip them with the skills needed to gain international recognition and access global markets. At the same time, it fosters collaboration among Japan’s leading communities and film festivals, creating a structure to support the ongoing international dissemination of works. By establishing an online distribution framework, the program develops new role models and works toward a sustainable ecosystem where artists can maintain international activity.

Project Approach

While Japanese short animations have global potential, many creators struggle to sustain careers due to gaps in planning, scriptwriting, and English communication. This program supports aspiring creators and producers by offering collaboration and networking with key domestic and international figures, fostering globally active talent.

Computer Graphic Arts Society(CG-ARTS)

CG-ARTS (The Association for Education, Culture, and Computer Graphics Technology) is a public interest incorporated foundation established in 1991 to promote talent development and cultural enrichment in the field of computer-based visual information. Focusing on two pillars—human resource development, which cultivates individuals with systematic knowledge and adaptable skills, and cultural promotion, which discovers new talent and supports engaging expression—CG-ARTS continues to serve as a bridge between education, culture, and society.
